Upon graduating from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, I began my career as a high school English teacher. In 2001, my wife (Mary's a high school English teacher) and I moved to Jackson and began our middle school adventure in language arts. We now have three children, Charlie, August and Ruby. For many years, I taught 7th grade ELA , and I coached the JHHS boys soccer team.  In 2013, I transitioned to assistant principal at JHMS.

This year, I am principal of Jackson Hole Middle School. I enjoy the challenge, the excitement, and the big-picture thinking that comes with this position.   Working with the entire staff of JHMS, the wonderful students, and the extended Jackson Hole community brings great joy to my job.  Together, We Are JHMS!  Go Colts!

My 27 years in education has been very exciting. Upon graduation I served as the technology directior and technology teacher at Superior Public Schools for 19 years. During this time I was a technology trainer and instructional facilitator with schools accross the Northwest. I worked for four years as a Technology Integrtion Specialist and consultant for Technology Grants in and around Missoula Montana. I have taught blended courses for the University of Montana and the University of Wyoming.

I am going into my sixth year for Teton County School district and second year as the Jackson Hole Middle School Assistant Principal. I love working with Middle School students and am extremely proud to be working with such an outstanding staff. I am very excited to be starting the 2018-19 school year!
