Scott Eastman Now..Then!

After graduating from the University of Virginia with a degree in biology and history, I spent my summer working at a camp in Kelly, Wyoming as a cabin counselor and trip leader. It was there that I made myself two promises: to become a teacher and to eventually make Jackson my permanent home. This year will begin my 20 th year as an educator, 10 th  year as a Jackson resident and  8 th year as a school administrator. My experience working in dual immersion began at the American School of Quito, Ecuador where I taught high school environmental science and physical science, and continued at Jackson Elementary, where I served as assistant principal and principal. I am very proud to have the opportunity to serve the students and parents of our community as the first principal of Munger Mountain Elementary. I enjoy sharing my life in Jackson Hole with my wife, Jessica, our sons, Owen, Remy and Ridge, and our dogs and horses.

Jackson Elementary Assistant Principal

BA - Elementary Education-Escuela Normal Miguel F. Martinez
MA-  Curriculum and Instruction- Grand Canyon University

I graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Escuela Miguel F. Martinez in Monterrey, Mexico. After graduation, I relocated to Wisconsin. There I completed my certification in both English as a Second Language and Bilingual education. After moving to Wyoming, I obtained a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction in Reading from Grand Canyon University and received the National Board Certification in Reading in 2012. Currently, I am pursuing a Doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Wyoming. This year I will begin my 12 year as an educator and my 2 nd  year as a school administrator.  I love  learning everyday from our teachers, our  students, and our community members. I am fortunate to be an educator and school leader in Teton County and most importantly to be able to make a difference in our students' life. I am married to a wonderful man, Scott, and we have 3 amazing dogs. We love to  spend our time outdoors hiking, fishing, and hunting. We feel so  fortunate  to be part of this community.
