Chris Bessonette Milken Family Foundation Honoree

Wyoming Superintendent of Public Instruction Jillian Balow is visiting Munger Mountain Elementary School to mark the new building's first year. But is that the only reason she's here? Watch as Balow and Greg Gallagher, senior program administrator for the Milken Family Foundation, surprise second-grade dual immersion teacher Chris Bessonette with Wyoming's 2018-19 Milken Educator Award and a huge $25,000 check. What a way to start the new year!

TCSD Talks Elementary Math

On Tuesday, October 2nd TCSD will host a Mathematical Mindset Information Session at Munger Mountain Elementary School from 5-7pm.  The information session will provide parents an idea of how their students are learning math and what is different compared to when they were in elementary school.




TCSD Offers Summer Meal Program

Teton County School District #1 is offering the Summer Food Service Program or SFSP to children in the community. The program offers free meals to any child 18 years and under. The program will run Monday through Thursday beginning on June 26th and ending August 16th.  We will be closed July 4th and 5th for the Independence Day Holiday. The program includes breakfast from 8:00 am to 9:00 am and lunch from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. The meals are provided at Colter Elementary School located at 1855 High School Road and Teton County Library.

Gov Mead at MMES Groundbreaking

Governor Matt Mead joins members of the Wyoming State Legislture, TCSD #1 Board of Trustees, Superintendent Gillian Chapman, Assistant Superintend of Operations Jeff Daugherty, MMES Principal, Scott Eastman teachers and students to kick off the groundbreaking of the new school.

Munger Mountain Elementary is currently under construction, with completion scheduled for July, 2018 and opening for the 2018-2019 school year.  Please check this page for regular updates on the construction progress.

Road Construction to Delay Buses on May 10th

TCSD is anticipating transportation delays Thursday, May 10th due to construction at the Y Intersection.

TCSD Hosts Whole Child Whole Teacher Conference for Staff

On Tuesday, January 2nd, while students enjoyed their last day of winter break, teachers were back at work and attending the first annual Whole Child Whole Teacher conference.

TCSD #1 is partnering with local private schools, community organizations and service providers to host Parent Connections, the first of three Kindergarten through 12th grade parenting information nights.



U.S. and Wyoming Flags Flying Half-Staff

Governor Matthew H. Mead, pursuant to President Donald Trump's Proclamation issued Sunday, November 5, 2017 has ordered both the U.S. and State of Wyoming flag be flown at half-staff statewide beginning immediately until sunset on Thursday, November 9, 2017 as a mark of respect for the victims in Sutherland Springs, Texas.

Today the Wyoming Department of Education (WDE) publicly released the results of the Proficiency Assessments for Wyoming Students (PAWS).  School, district, and state results are available on the WDE’s Fusion site.
