Summit Innovations School Features Farm to Table at People’s Market

Summit Innovations School students will have a booth at the People’s Market to showcase their greenhouse harvest and to learn from local growers in our community.  Students in the new Sustainable Agriculture class will staff a booth during the September 5th, 12th and 19th markets.

Participating students will help run the booth sales, and subtly spread the word about Summit Innovations school and the new course offering.  

In recognition of their efforts, students will be given "People Bucks" tokens that they can then use to purchase food for their families while meeting vendors and growers that are passionate about sustainable agriculture.

Instructor Brian Hager stated “We had enough productivity in the greenhouse that we could have been at every market this summer.  There is a great opportunity for expanding our participation in local farmers’ markets or other educational opportunities in the future.  

Proceeds from booth sales will be used to purchase seeds and materials for the fall planting of the outdoor beds and four season greenhouse.
