JHMS Hosts Scripps National Spelling Bee

Savannah joined by Ms. Sawcuzk, spelling bee coordinator and JHMS secretary, her parents, Holly and Aaron, spelling bee judges Superintendent Gilian Chapman and Trustee Bill Scarlett

Approximately 40 students participated in the Scripps Spelling Bee at JHMS.  6th grader, Savannah G. won the bee with the word RELINQUISH.  While it took a few moments for Savannah to realize she had won, but her parents sitting in the audience and her peers realized immediately that she was the winner!

Savannah will represent JHMS and TCSD at the state spelling bee in Rock Springs in a few weeks.
