I grew up in Logan Utah where I was the youngest of 3 children. I was involved in music and Athletic training through my education so I love sports. My love of the Spanish language and Hispanic culture came from being half Mexican. My grandparents were immigrants from Chihuahua Mexico and my mom passed on this culture with us as we grew up (I just didn't get the tan). I decided that I loved working with students and feeling like a student so I went into education at Utah State University where I got my degree in Health and Spanish Dec of 2008. That June I got married and moved to Telluride, Colorado where I learned how to ski and I started my teaching career. In 2009 I was a full time ESL substitute and the following year I was the 7th grade Spanish teacher and 8th through 12th grade ESL teacher. I was lucky enough to come to another beautiful resort town closer to family and where I can focus on teaching Spanish all day. I am excited to share my love for the Hispanic culture to all of my students.
