Welcome to the JHMS Nurse's Station.
I have been employed in Wyoming since 1984 as an inpatient psychiatric social worker and subseqeuntly a nurse. I attended the University of Wyoming where I obtained my BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) in 1994. As a professional registered nurse I trained on a surgical floor at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and subsequently in Wyoming where I was employed in several inpatient psychiatric units within county hospital systems in addition to hospital home health nursing. I first became a school nurse in 2003 having learned that I had a passion for pediatrics and have remained in that domain. I have enjoyed working in both elementary and secondary school buildings.
Since 2013, I have had the opportunity to work at Teton County School District. Health Services within the school community is a unique opportunity to practice nursing which includes student and family health advocacy, acute health services, preventative health activities, liaison in the continuum of care and health education. It is easily recognizable that healthy children learn better. I am currently providing health services at Jackson Hole Middle School. Please contact me if you ever have a question, concern or idea on the clinical practice for this wonderful age group. You can reach me at 733-4234.
