Equity and Access - A Lesson Through The Lens of Content Areas

During the week of January 13th Jackson Hole High School will be recognizing Martin Luther King Jr and Wyoming Equality Day by providing department specific lessons about equity and access.

Each educational department will collaboratively create a common lesson to be taught in each section of their  content area meaning that all math teachers or all English teachers will teach a shared lesson throughout the day.  The goal of this initiative is to teach students important aspects of equity and access through the lens of different content areas, providing a comprehensive learning approach for students to help them understand that all content areas play an instrumental role in areas of equity and access.

JHHS principal, Dr. Scott Crisp stated “Students can learn important aspects of equity and access through the lens of different content areas. This opportunity a comprehensive learning approach for students to help them understand that all content areas play an instrumental role in areas of equity and access.”
