Seal of Biliteracy
WHAT IS THE SEAL OF BILITERACY?
The Wyoming Seal of Biliteracy recognizes high school graduates who have demonstrated proficiency in English and at least one additional language. This award celebrates the hard work and dedication of students who have become bilingual and biliterate during their K-12 education. Recipients of the Seal have their accomplishment noted on their diploma and transcript, receive a certificate, and are honored at graduation with a special cord.
The Seal of Biliteracy demonstrates readiness for college, career, and global citizenship, and is a valuable distinction for employers and universities. Teton County School District #1 is proud to offer this opportunity to students as part of our commitment to multilingualism and academic achievement.
QUE ES EL SELLO DE ALFABETIZACION BILINGUE?
El Sello de Biliteracidad de Wyoming reconoce a los estudiantes que se gradúan de la preparatoria y que han demostrado competencia en inglés y al menos otro idioma adicional. Este reconocimiento celebra el esfuerzo y la dedicación de los estudiantes que han logrado ser bilingües durante su educación K-12. Los estudiantes que reciben el Sello tendrán esta distinción en su diploma y expediente académico, recibirán un certificado y serán reconocidos en la ceremonia de graduación con un cordón especial.
