Walking School Bus
Students residing in certain areas of the JES walk zone can access the Walking School Bus in the 25-26 school year. A few items related to the walking school bus:

- Students do not need to sign up and can take the Walking Bus anytime
- If a child wants to take the walking bus home, they should check in with the walking bus attendant at the front of the school.
- Children are expected to abide by basic safety/behavioral rules (listed in procedures above).
- TCSD staff cannot force students to abide by safety policies or keep them from walking away from the group. This behavior cannot always be controlled or directed in real time. Children do have more responsibility and freedom on this route than a typical school bus.
- Parents will be contacted if students exhibit inappropriate or concerning behavior
- Since your child resides within the "no transport zone" per the WDE, chapter 20 rules, this service is an added privilege and could be removed if staffing is unavailable.
