Superintendent Update

Dear TCSD #1 Families:

It has been an exciting start to the school year. We have many activities underway, open house events and students settling into their new classrooms and getting to see old friends and make new ones.

Kick off the new school year with us at  Old Bill’s Fun Run tomorrow, Saturday, September 12th, from 9 AM to 12:00 noon. Support the Education Foundation of Jackson Hole with a matched donation by September 18. Donate Here!  Please stop by the booth on Saturday so I can personally thank you.  

In the coming weeks we will be revising our communications schedule and implementing some new tools in an effort to streamline communications, avoid overwhelming families with multiple communications while also keeping families and our community informed and engaged in our district. Each school and classroom teachers will continue sharing information with the families they serve. 

The use of technology and devices in classrooms is an important topic being discussed throughout the country.  TCSD has made some direct changes based on parent feedback and will be sharing information throughout the year to communicate what tech use looks like in our schools at each grade band- kinder-5th; middle school and high school. To start, please review this reference guide that provides an overview of tech in our schools. Over the course of the year we will share more information on this important topic.
