10-7-19 newsletter

Hello everyone,

This week, we will be finishing our five-paragraph essays related to our reading of The One and Only Ivan. In math, unit one is coming to a close with the final assessment happening on Wednesday. We will begin science this week with the study of Energy Transfer among living things. In ELA, our study of Human Rights continues with the kids becoming experts on one specific Article of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and then sharing what they know with the class.

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held November 4th-7th beginning after school.  Teachers will be meeting next week to schedule them. If there is a day or time that will not work for you or a day or time that is better for you, please let me know before Friday at 3:00. Let me know if your schedule is flexible as well. We will once again schedule siblings back to back. I will do my best to give you a conference time that is close to what you prefer.

Upcoming Events:

Friday: Professional Development Day for Teachers. No School. CREST Day activities are available. There was a sign-up link in the last Bellringer, if you are interested.
