10-28-19 newsletter

THANK YOU to those who helped in any way, shape or form with the Halloween Carnival. The kids love it and it is such a special WES tradition.

This week we will narrow down our possible topics for memoir writing. In math, we will be working on what is the "better buy" and ratio tables. In science, we will begin a new unit on Food Webs and in ELA we will be finishing our reading of Esperanza Rising. Our focus will then turn to preparing for the end of the unit assessment related to our study of human rights.

Conferences are next week,  which means it will be November! How can that be?!  Just a reminder that if your child is able to attend their conference, I would love that. If not, I understand. Remember that Progress Reports (similar to a report card) are only sent home twice a year. Once in the spring and again at the end of the year. This conference is for us to "check-in" with each other to talk about how the year is going so far for your child.  Thank you in advance for being on time. The schedule is quite tight! See you next week!

Take Care,
