11-4-19 newsletter

In writing this week we will begin to draft our memoirs. In math, our focus will be on fractions and the various strategies we can use to add and subtract them! We should be ready for the end of the unit 2 assessment on Friday. In science, we are studying food webs and we should be able to begin an experiment around earthworms and decomposition late in the week, depending on when the earthworms arrive!!  We finished reading Esperanza Rising and we will now move on to writing an essay around how Esperanza changed from the beginning of the book to the end and why those changes took place.

I am looking forward to seeing all of you during your conference time. Remember, if your child can attend, that would be great.

Upcoming Events:

Nov.4-7 Conference Week and Book Fair in the library

Nov. 13th: Picture Retake Day

Nov. 22nd Grizzly Gathering

Nov. 25-29: Thanksgiving Week Break

Take care,
