12-2-19 newsletter

Hello and welcome to December!!  I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving break.

We will have much to do these next three weeks as we jump right back into the academic world of fifth grade!!  In math we will be focusing on decimals, rounding, comparing, multiplying, and dividing them. In social studies, we will be moving on to the study of the Colonies and we will be reading a novel entitled, Blood on the River, which is all about Jamestown and the struggles that occurred there. Starting this week, we will have a three-session visit from a representative from Teton County Weed and Pest who will tie into our science study of Ecosystems, working with the kids on topics such as invasive species.

Upcoming Events:

Friday December 13th: Dancers Workshop Winter Performance Leave at 12:00, return at 2:00.

Friday December 20th: Annual 5th Grade Luncheon (more on this next week!)

Holiday Break begins at 2:56 p.m.
