Expanded Learning Collective

The Expanded Learning Collective is a group of more than 35 education organizations and community leaders that work to address barriers to access, support educator recruitment and retention, and build stronger relationships between providers and their constituents around out-of-school learning opportunities.

Collaborative Problem Solving® for Caregivers 

Collaborative Problem Solving® approach is developed by Think:Kids, a program based in the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA. 

TCSD#1 families have free access to the CPS for Caregivers course until August 2026. The course is self-paced and interactive, perfect for parents and caregivers looking to: 

1. Set clear, realistic expectations with their child through a proven, evidence-based approach

2. Solve problems and navigate difficult conversations in a way that feels collaborative and effective for both parents and children.

3. Strengthen communication and relationships, fostering trust and understanding.

4. Support children in building important future-ready skills that will benefit them in all areas of life. 

5. Reinforce and strengthen the strategies being implemented at TCSD#1, ensuring a consistent and unified experience for the child.

K-5 Math & Literacy Resources

TCSD#1 has a robust website with information and resources for Math at Home! about mathematics for families with students in elementary school.

TCSD#1 also has a library of short videos of fun activities you can do at home with your child to support Math and Literacy. Videos are in Spanish and in English and are ADA accessible.
